I took National Tsing-Hua University, Computer Science Department the High-tech Entrepreneurship course from Prof. Ren-Song Tsay in the Fall semester of 2013. In the course, I formed a team of four people from various disciplines and proposed an innovative online marketing survey company. In our team, I took the position of Chief operating officer (COO). To understand the market survey business, I actually contacted and interviewed quite a few companies to collect and analyze firsthand information. Additionally, I always faithfully took notes for our meetings and later prepared the meeting notes into useful documents for the team to use. The basic idea is to leverage the trend of general accessibility of the internet and the increasingly improved user-friendliness of the online service interface. Along with a creative gift-giving business model, the final proposal was well received by VCs.

I accessed various companies and learned how to present concepts to venture capital investors in the entrepreneurship course. For example, we contacted with SONY product manager, Nielsen, Ogilvy and APPs development startup to define company needs. Our business model was to build a B2B environment which can test the customer behaviors by using interaction interface so that the feedbacks can be received efficiently. I also completed the “Capital Requirements” for developing the strategy. Also, management training has equipped me with strict logical thinking and problem-solving skills. In the final presentation, the Venture Capital representative evaluated our business plan with a high comment.
